CTLG@STONETREE June 2015

Let the game begin!!!

Fifty-two ladies participated in the CTLG June event at Stonetree Golf Course (Killeen, TX) hosted by Killeen Ladies Golf Association.

The recent wet weather had cleared up for the day of the event and it was a beautiful day for golf.

Most importantly, it was good to see many familiar faces as well as new friends who easily forgive you for not remembering their names or when or where the last time was you played in the same group.

Some come with predicable (expectation of winning) outcomes, some come for the socializing and some come for fun golf.  Regardless of one's reason to come CTLG event, in the end we are all winners because we are as happy as kids on a playground when we are on the golf course with flat stick.  And the nice lunch adds an exclamation mark!

On behalf of the KLGA, thank you all for visiting our home, Stonetree Golf Course.

The next event will be at the Lago Vista on July 2nd.
Hope to see you there.

Merry Christmas 2014

2014 It was good year

Merry Christmas to you and you and you....

And peace on earth.

It was 14 days to Christmas, and the ladies of KLGA got together to celebrate their annual Christmas party.  This year's Christmas party was staged in two parts.

Scene I (Dead Fish Grill): Wine and Dine

The table was set near the floor to ceiling picture windows with a view of beautiful Belton Lake.  The lake scene was calm and still. It was almost like looking at a master painting.   Well, it is the creator’s masterpiece indeed!!!

Some arrived early to start the wine before the dine.   Many of us see each other every week and still have so much to catch up on in “current events” and some we only get to see a few times year so everyone had even more “news events” to exchange.  Over all everyone was in a festive mood.

Some came straight from the golf course with their usual golf apparel and some came all dolled up and almost unrecognizable from the golf course!  It need not matter how they came as, the main conversation was common among these ladies.  Golf.  Do you know golf is also known as “green opium” in China because of the pleasure and addiction are similar in golf and Opium?  In that case, we are a bunch of G-O addicts.  Well, at least we are on the healthier side of the addiction.

The food at the Dead Fish Grill was very satisfying and conversation was getting warm but some ladies couldn’t wait to move on to the scene II.

Scene II (Tom and Wanda’s home): Business and Pleasure

Tom and Wanda’s home were decorated like a perfect Christmas storybook. And this year's special recognition goes to very creative Master Visual Display artist Teri (Wanda’s daughter) for taking a day off from work to make the event even more beautiful.  Don’t we all wish we had a daughter like Teri?  Maybe some of us already have…
Let the photos tell you the rest of the story.

Shall we it again in 12 months?
